BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The CEB was established under the guidance of the Longwood Foundation as the recipient of the Bank of America donation. Its Board of Directors represents the confluence of the philanthropic, corporate and community interests that will work together to ensure that this new organization successfully achieves its mission and vision.

Chairman

Thère is President of the Longwood Foundation.  He formerly served as President and Chief Financial Officer of Wawa, Inc. and Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President, Operations, of drugstore.com.  He currently is on the Boards of Burris Logistics, the DuPont Company and WSFS. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Stanford University.

Bill Manning is a partner with Saul Ewing LLC, and as Co-Managing Partner of its Wilmington office, Mr. Manning brings extensive experience in business management. He also serves as Co-Chair of Saul Ewing’s Higher Education Practice Group, and with his partner, Jim Taylor, he provides legal advice to many of Delaware’s charter schools. 

He is the former president of the Red Clay Consolidated School District (RCCSD) Board of Education, and has long been a champion for diversity issues relating to quality education, student recruitment, and charter schools. Under his leadership, RCCSD became the first – and remains the only – local school district in Delaware to authorize charter schools.

Logan currently serves as Executive Director of Kingswood Community Center, located in the northeast section of Wilmington, and CEO of REACH Riverside. Previously, he co-founded Delaware Elite where he served as Executive Director for 10 years. Logan has also worked for the Boys & Girls Club of Delaware as Program Director of the statewide STEAM program. Logan is actively serving on other non profit boards including the McLaughlin Educational Fund and Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County. Additionally, he is a member of the Delaware Afterschool Leadership Council and WEIC’s Meeting Needs of Students in Poverty Committee.

Rita Landgraf joined the University of Delaware’s College of Health Sciences in early 2017 as professor of practice and distinguished health and social services administrator in residence. She also serves as director of the UD Partnership for Healthy Communities (PHC), a cross-college, cross-state initiative. Prior to joining the faculty at UD, she served as Cabinet Secretary of the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services from Jan. 22, 2009 through Feb 6, 2017, under Governor Jack Markell’s administration.

Director

Teri is Global Integration Leader with Transportation & Advanced Polymers at DuPont. She is a Director with the American Chemical Society, Vice-President of Delaware Foundation for Science & Math Education, and on the Advisory Board for Delaware Campaign for Action Now. She served as President of the Delaware State Board of Education for 8 years and co-chair of the Delaware STEM Council under the Markell administration. Teri holds a B.S. in chemistry from Jackson State University, PhD in analytical chemistry from University of Maryland, College Park and certification in Leading and Managing Globally from Yale School of Management and IMD Business School.

Director

Eli serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Eleuthèrian Trust Company, a multi-generational family wealth services firm.  Previously, he served as a Sr. Relationship Manager in Wilmington Trust Company’s Managed Wealth Advisory Group.  In that role, Mr. Sharp was responsible for managing substantial private client relationships.  He is currently also a board member for the Longwood Foundation, Delaware Wild Lands, Inc. and is a Trustee of Christiana Care Health Systems.
