A Community must come together if it is to successfully create and offer a world-class educational experience for urban students that, across the country, experience a significant achievement gap when compared to their peers. From the planting of a concept in late 2011 to the present moment, this belief has driven everything being developed and implemented at The Community Education Building.

CEB engages many residents, businesses, government leaders, and community organizations in Wilmington to support our schools and our joint mission to provide a world-class education to Wilmington students. We understand the need to develop and maintain a deep connection with our surrounding community.

As we forge this path, we see three critical groups coming together in many different ways to build and achieve their desired objectives. They are our Partner Schools – our cornerstone partners committed to delivering a world-class education to students in the building, our Philanthropic Partners – those that contribute financial and in-kind resources to the initiative, and our Community Partners – those that will bring their core competencies, resources and services to accelerate the delivery of the mission and vision for this endeavor, and those that will benefit from the operating and programmatic initiatives at the CEB.
